Glenn Greenwald’s new book tells an amazing story of how journalism, at its best, can serve democracy; so don’t expect a word about it from the “journalists” in this “democracy”

Securing Democracy is all about how Greenwald and his team pulled off the heroic feat denoted in that title; but since they did it in Brazil, securing its frail young democracy against all odds, “our free press” has a credible pretext for not reviewing this important book (which should be made into a movie, by someone like Costa-Gavras).
