Outrages: Sex, Censorship and the Criminalization of Love, a powerful history of the atrocities inflicted on gay people, with a focus on the heroism of gay-rights pioneer John Addington Symonds, is available at last, having been viciously and inaccurately attacked by many news outlets, including Breitbart, as well as by many right wing and fundamentalist social media networks. It was cancelled by its initial publisher, after two factual errors were blown up into a pseudo-scandal.
Thanks to Chelsea Green—the same brave little house that’s published The End of America—Outrages is, as it were, free at last. Attached are two blurbs that accurately capture its brilliance and importance.
