Strict limits on visitors to family homes will stretch into next spring, regardless of COVID-19 infection rates

This is in Ireland, where the crisis ended two months ago, and where the COVID-19 death rate is 1,786, out of a population of of 4,904,000 million (a mortality rate of 0.036%).

It’s obviously not just Ireland; and this obviously isn’t mean to “keep us safe,” but to keep THEM from US.
