Partisans are stone-blind to the thefts that benefit their side. Thus Democrats insanely claim that there’s “no evidence” of theft in last year’s presidential race, just as Republicans insanely claimed (and, as far as I know, still believe) that there was/is “no evidence” of theft in either of Bush/Cheney’s demonstrably fake “victories” 17 and 21 years ago.
It’s past time for all patriots to drop their loyalties to tribe in favor of a new commitment to electoral democracy (which we can very easily restore, if there are enough of us who actually believe in it, and who would fight for it).
