This seems to fit that “make a lie big enough and people will believe it.” We’ve seen this before with 9/11: Bush/ Cheney wouldn’t murder 3000 people, mostly Americans, on a random Tuesday morning would they? That’s ridiculous! That would never happen!
Sociopaths would never inject a metallic substance that can be activated with high speed internet, would they? That’s crazy and impossible!
Imagine if the military commissioned the world’s greatest scientists and about 200k people to work on a secret nuclear program, with the intention of obliterating two big Japanese cities, and all the while, none but a handful of those 200k people knew what they were building. Crazy, right? That’s an impossible conspiracy theory.
