Dr. Redfield’s statement—that masks are even more effective against COVID-19 than that magical vaccine—is actually true, though not the way he meant it.
Not only was he lying in referring to the “clear scientific evidence that [masks] work” against transmission of flu-like respiratory viruses, but, as Dr. Paul points out, Redfield’s sloppy handling of that mask showed that he himself does not know how to use the “coverings” that he so urgently advised—or simply doesn’t care if “every individual in the United States” puts on a contaminated mask.
In either case, his performance makes quite clear that his guidance is worthless, and that he should not be the CDC’s director (unless we deem that agency the “Centers for Disease Creation”).

Steve was a great scholar, and intrepid speaker of the truth about the lunacy of “Russia-gate.” For this he was blacklisted by the media—few outlets would publish him, or interview him, for all his expertise—and shunned by many gutless academics.
