This growing medical consensus on the risk that ventilators pose to very sick COVID-19 patients would appear to bolster Dr. Cameron Kyle-Sidell’s view, which he presented in the video that I sent out a few days ago.
I can also add that a good friend of mine, who caught COVID-19 over a week ago, was told by his doctor in the hospital where he was being treated that he had a choice. He could go on a ventilator, which, considering his age, would definitely kill him, or he could choose not to, which would give him a 5% chance of recovery. So he took his chances—and pulled through.
And so that doctor evidently knew something that ought to be more widely known.
