This means we should also ban not just the plays (and poems) of Oscar Wilde, as MacArthur notes below, but also those of Christopher Marlowe (an avowed pederast), and who knows how many other works of art were similarly tainted by the failings of their makers. (Come to that, we should also reconsider Gandhi’s legacy, along with Jefferson’s.)
