As a general introduction, I have been following natural health and holistic healing practices since 1990.
The article from Gary Null (which Mark sent out earlier, under the title “A scientific overview of NATURAL ways to protect yourself from the coronavirus”) is very detailed. What I have done here is summarize Null’s list, and reduce it to the essentials.
This list is for general flu remedies. The Corona is a flu, much stronger than the seasonal winter flu, but these products will strengthen your immunity, which is key. A strong immune system in the face of any traumatic outbreak, is the way to go.

What to get:
> Colloidal Silver liquid, from Sovereign Silver, or other brands. 5-10 drops under tongue on empty stomach. A general immune booster.
> Oil of Oregano, Super Strength, from North American Herb Spice, or any brand, as long as its Super strength, and is for ingestion. Do not use Essential Oils, designed for aromatherapy, for ingestion. 5 drops under tongue, AFTER a meal, followed by ginger or herbal tea. It’s a very strong taste. Your face will cringe. Oil of Oregano is a bacteria- and virus-killer.
> Vitamin C, powder form, from Ester-C, or Emergen-C, or Trace Minerals, any powder product. When healthy, a daily dose of 3,000mg a day, 1,000mg at a time, on empty stomach. If sick, 10,000mg a day, in divided doses. Important to take on empty stomach, before meals, or one hour after. Powder is easy to absorb, the key is divided doses. The little travel packs are perfect for using divided doses, outside the home. Have a water bottle with wide mouth, to pour in the powder, or carry a little funnel that many vitamin stores sell.
> Vitamin D-3, 4,000 or 5,000 iu. Per day, with food. Gel capsules
> Astragulus, capsules, from Nature’s Way. One cap a day with food
The next two are often combined in a lozenge or cough drop, or get them separate:
> Elderberry (Sambucus nigra), liquid, any brand. Take on empty stomach. This is a favorite winter flu remedy
> Zinc lozenges. Any brand. Be careful not to exceed 25 mg a day. Most lozenges have 5mg per dose, especially the ones combined with Elderberry.
How to make your own hand sanitizer:
2/3 cup Isopropyl Alcohol (75% or better), 1/3 cup Aloe Vera Gel. Add drops of tea tree oil or eucalyptus oil, or lavender oil.
HOT TEA FORMULA:
This hot tea formula will knock out any cold or flu. It’s very strong, and works best if you are staying home
Recipe for cold/flu remedy: two hot teas: garlic & clove, followed by ginger.
If you are really ill, and want to get well, stay at home and
drink this hot tea every hour, all day long:
First hour: garlic & clove.
Second hour: ginger.
Third hour: garlic & clove.
Fourth hour: ginger; and so on.
Better to make a large bottle of each for the day, about half gallon of each tea. Each portion should be one cup/8 oz. There are 4 cups in a quart, and 4 quarts in a gallon.
Buy half-gallon glass bottles (apple Juice for example), empty them (do not drink pasteurized juice. It’s all sugar), and prepare a large amount of each tea. Store in fridge and warm up each cup in a saucepan.
(Do not microwave, ever!)
Continue eating your meals, too. If you are sick, you might have to do this for a few days:
Buy bunches of garlic bulbs, and handfuls of ginger root. Get a spice container of whole cloves. Always get organic when available/affordable.
*The formula ratio is 10 pieces of Garlic to 7 cloves.
You can make the concentration strong or weak, depending on your taste.
The important thing is the ratio must be 10 to 7 (garlic to clove). If you want to use 20 pieces of garlic, then use 14 cloves, 30 garlic to 21 clove, and so on. To make a quart/liter of garlic & clove tea, first put 5 cups of water in a pot (the extra cup is to compensate for the boiling and simmering time).
If making a half-gallon, then use 10 cups. Do not heat water until the garlic and clove are in. Separate 10 cloves of garlic from a bulb, skin them as you would in cooking. Do not crush them. Put in the pot of cold water with the 7 cloves, then heat water to boiling. Once the water boils, reduce heat to a simmer. Cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes. Turn off burner, let cool a bit, then strain and drink one cup of the liquid.
After you drink this tea, do some inversion exercises—nothing too strenuous, just bend at the waist and touch your toes, or let your arms hang down. Let your body hang for a minute or two, without bouncing, just relax and breathe. A yoga pose, the downward-facing dog, would be good, too.
One hour after the GARLIC and CLOVE tea, make a GINGER version,the same way. IT IS IMPORTANT TO WAIT AN HOUR BETWEEN THE TWO.
If you take them together, they will just clean out your digestive system, which is not a bad idea, but it’s not what you want.
To prepare ginger, cut each piece the size of your upper thumb, or 1 inch.
Not necessary to skin them, but do slice them to expose the most ‘meat’ of the ginger. In a pot with 5 cups of water, put 10-15 pieces of ginger, then heat to boiling. If making a half-gallon, try 20-30 pieces of ginger.
After boiling, reduce heat to a simmer. Allow to simmer for 20-25 minutes, covered. Turn off burner, let cool a bit, then strain and drink the liquid.
(Do some inversions.)
Repeat this cycle of GARLIC/CLOVE followed an hour later by GINGER, throughout the day, if you are home sick. For a mild
cold, 3 or 4 cycles per day should work.
The effect: this tea will clear out your lungs and sinuses, so get ready to cough up phlegm and expectorate after each cup. You can then brush your teeth to get rid of the garlic smell.
