Corrective to “Reuters busted as a propaganda outlet for the Pentagon”

You may recall my sending out this article, from Russia Insider, on Reuters.

In researching my piece on the NYTimes' stomach-turning interview with Helene Cooper,I went back to this article on Reuters, thinking that I might include this scandal with the others that Cooper should look into as the paper's Pentagon correspondent; and I couldfind no reference to the Pentagon per se in any other outlet, nor any evidence to backRussia Insider's claim about a covert Reuters/Pentagon relationship.

So while Reuters was forced to retract its bogus claims about a Russian/Venezuelan"scheme" to evade US sanctions, there seems to be no grounds for asserting thatthe Pentagon is pulling Reuters' strings. (Of course, it may be doing so, but so farthat is only speculation.)

Apologies.
