Write Letters of Support to CIA Whistleblower John Kiriakou
Former CIA officer and torture whistleblower John Kiriakou is now 8 months into a 30 month prison sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Loretto, PA.
While his spirits remain remarkably high for a man in his position, prison life is still difficult, especially when you are being punished for taking action for the betterment of your country.
John told us that getting mail is one of the most important parts of his daily routine. It keeps him connected to the world outside the prison yard and lets him know others are out there continuing to fight the good fight. They mean so much to him that he takes time to respond to nearly every one.
Luckily, prison officials are no longer limiting John’s access to mail, so we wanted to send him a nice, big wave of support from his friends at Firedoglake. Can you please take a moment to write him a letter?
Please send to:
John Kiriakou 79637-083,
Federal Correctional Institution, Loretto,
P.O. Box 1000, Loretto, PA 15940.
You can find this and other information on John’s website, www.defendjohnk.com. They write, “[John] is permitted to receive mail from anyone, and soft cover books and magazines only from individuals. Hard cover books may be received directly from a publisher, a bookstore or Amazon.com.”
Thanks so much for your support.
PS: On November 9th, the Peace and Justice Center of Sonoma County is honoring John with the Peacemaker of the Year award — don’t forget to offer your congratulations!
