  1. I am a bit confused as to the reporting date on this as it comes as no surprise what is happening in Michigan. When Snyder was elected, it was a given that Michigan would privatize schools, prisons, etc.. The New Right of Paul Weyrich’s ALEC division – which all the republicans in Michigan are members – have a mandate to work for the Corporate members and implement their ALEC written laws. Kaplan, Murdoch, etc.. it’s a $500billion industry and they Want it!! If the media would have broadcasted this years ago, we might have had a chance to educate the population; but, they did not! We cannot remove any republicans here any longer as they have redistricted, gerrymandered the state and are protected from ever losing any seats. While evidence in other states indicate that it costs more, it matters not. The purpose is to serve the Corporate interests and under-educate our kids. Their ideology does not like critical thinkers. When the media starts telling people the truth…they are NOT Republicans any longer…they ARE the New Right-Weyrich – then and only then, will we have a chance to get our country’s Democracy safely back in our land.
