From Jessica Feldman:
As many of probably know, graduate employees have been in a long-battle with the NYU administration over our right to form a union and collectively bargain over a contract for work we provide the university. A ruling by the National Labor Relations Board, hopefully very soon, will likely force NYU to recognize our majority and allow a union election to go forward.
If you support grad employees’ right to choose a union — and oppose the administration’s ongoing attempt to block that process — please consider signing this petition that’s now circulating (see link). It already has the support of over 1100 grad employees and students, and we’re now seeking support from others, especially undergrads, faculty, and community members.
Also, please forward to other lists you may be on, particularly around NYU!
