14 Comments to “Did Romney cheat as well as lie?”

  • He obviously cheated ….. Where is the media on this? …

  • I’m so pleased to see this because I have been perplexed since the debate, and this clarifies it. I noticed that following the debate, when all the people crowded onto the stage, Romney went back to his podium and picked up his papers. He folded them in half lengthwise, and tried to put them in his inside breast pocket. When that didn’t work, he handed them off to someone. The President did not pick up any papers. I attributed this to the thought that the President relied on someone to pick up his papers, but Romney did not. I didn’t know that they weren’t supposed to have any papers. I thought this strange because Romney considers himself to be a good manager, and a good managers would have a lackey to pick up his papers, but he did not. It never dawned on me that he had a forbidden crib sheet! What a turd!

  • Interesting. He would not be above cheating, as we know well.
I wondered if he had taken some kind of upper drug because his behavior was faster, quicker, and more confident than normal.
We need drug checks for politicians too.

  • It was a handkerchief

  • I don’t think it was a handkercheif, because he didn’t put it in his pocket after the debate. Even if it was…look at the rule again, “No props, notes, charts, diagrams, or other writings or OTHER TANGIBLE THINGS may be brought into the debate by any candidate.”

  • It was a magic trick involving a handkerchief. Voila, a crib sheet!

What about after the debate? There’s more evidence there that Romney cheated, too. Watch this short clip of the very end of the debate, from C-Span (it isn’t embeddable), where the families are on the stage. As President Obama, the First Lady, Mrs. Romney, and various Romney sons engage in some “smiling” and stage-chatting for the cameras, you’ll see that at the :31 second mark, Romney turns and heads back to his podium. He retrieves his cheat-sheets and hastily folds a sheet of paper around them. He then returns to the cluster of people, and at :55, you can see him attempt to stash the packet in his breast pocket–the right, then the left–and, unable to do this (breast pockets not big enough for the paper-enclosed cheat-sheets?), Romney hands them off to his stone-faced son, who quickly shoves them inside his jacket. Ann Romney can’t help but watch the cheat-sheets like a hawk (as Romney rejoins the group, she focuses on them), and once their son has them safely hidden, you can read her lips as she says to her husband:

“We need to get off this stage.”

    Indeed.

  • Mark,
It is repeatedly stated that I said this, which I did, not on your blog. Please correct it.
“Chris Jonsson on Did Romney cheat as well as lie?” I did not say that.
    Chris Jonsson

  • OK, I just noticed that is how you reference people’s comments. Still, something to consider.

  • The media quickly hushed up the radio pack that bush boy was seen wearing in the 2004 debate. Does anyone know, whether the debaters are now checked for electronic devices?

The media and the Obama campaign should be all over the cheat sheet issue – I’d love to see them put up text to match Princess Ann’s lips…

Have people already forgotten the eight years of blatant lies from the Bush Crime Family?

I lost respect for Amanpour after she allowed the teaturd Chaffetz to wear an earpiece on her Sunday morning show.

  • It is a known fact that before every debate Romney has participated in, the first thing he does is pull out a piece of paper and write his fathers name on it.

  • So he won’t forget? Romney seems to have forgotten everything else about his father.

  • Obama needed his tele-prompter….his media in his hip pocket….maybe next debate

  • What’s Happening i am new to this, I stumbled upon this I have discovered It positively helpful
and it has aided me out loads. I’m hoping to contribute & assist different
customers like its aided me. Good job.
