Wikileaks: Homeland Security invokes Patriot Act on Assange, seeks server data 24 Aug 2011 The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has invoked the Patriot Act on Wikileaks’ domain registrar, in a bid to access information on founder Julian Assange. DNS hoster Dynadot has received a Patriot Act request by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, to produce information held about Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, in a fully-fledged “espionage case”. The order seeks “all available information” on not only Assange, but Wikileaks also, held by the DNS hoster. The information will be handed to the U.S. grand jury in Alexandria, Virginia.
U.S. invokes Patriot Act as WikiLeaks dumps more data 24 Aug 2011 The U.S. government has reportedly invoked the controversial Patriot Act as a legal basis for demanding data from Internet provider Dynadot about WikiLeaks and Julian Assange. The whistle-blowing organization recently received a copy of the (now) unsealed court order, which was apparently signed by a U.S. magistrate judge on January 4, 2011. “Using the terms of the Patriot Act the order was issued to Dynadot, the domain registrars for wikileaks.org, for all information they hold on WikiLeaks, Julian Assange and wikileaks.org,” the organization confirmed in an official statement.
After DDoS and Patriot Act order, WikiLeaks opens floodgates –Californian DNS host gets served 25 Aug 2011 WikiLeaks made public thousands of US diplomatic cables on Wednesday hours after its Californian DNS host was ordered to hand to authorities everything it had on Julian Assange and WikiLeaks. The order to US DNS host Dynadot was issued under the Patriot Act and demanded it hand over all subscriber and payment information of the accounts WikiLeaks held since November 1, 2009, according to a copy of the order released by Wikileaks Wednesday. “Our Californian DNS hoster, Dynadot, has received a PATRIOT act production order for information on Julian Assange. It has complied,” WikiLeaks Tweeted on Wednesday afternoon.

Message from Mark: "I am a one-man operation, although assisted greatly by some volunteers, and, now and then, by people paid by others for one-time projects. There is no shortage of skilled, dedicated folks out there who want to help me. There is, however, nothing I can pay them with, unless you decide you can contribute something."
