What matters here is not the fractured English, although that’s getting lots of laughs. (After all, it could have been a typo.)

What matters here is the fascistic program that those Tea-headed Tennesseeans are demanding from their legislators. They want to use the powers of the state (some libertarians!) to force the teachers there to teach “the truth about America,” which would appear to mean the Standard Propaganda Version of our national past: i.e., no downbeat stuff about “intruding on the Indians” or “having slaves,” or any other such “made-up criticism”–and none of that wrong-headed stuff about “Democracy.”

That’s the issue here; and it’s not funny.
