Are New York’s Voting Machines Secure?

Today, Tues. Sept. 15, 2010, I arrived at my polling place, a fire station in Albany County, to find the room open and empty and the voting machines and materials sitting unguarded. According to a fireman in another part of the building, the voting machines were delivered and left unsecured in the upstairs voting room, accessible by a backdoor, since last Thursday.
