First Tuesdays Political Series: Chris Hedges
This event is scheduled for Tuesday, Mar 6th – 7:00 PM
Author of American Fascists (Free Press)

This monthly series hosted by author and activist Mark Crispin Miller features conversations with authors whose books tackle political and public issues from a stance outside the mainstream. Chris Hedges, war correspondent and author of War Is A Force That Gives Us Meaning, now turns his attention to the symptoms of fascism in contemporary right-wing Christianity in his book American Fascists. Lucidly outlining the dangers of dominion theology and intolerant rhetoric, Hedges sounds a warning against an increasingly powerful fringe. Join us for a conversation on warring American ideologies.

Message from Mark: "I am a one-man operation, although assisted greatly by some volunteers, and, now and then, by people paid by others for one-time projects. There is no shortage of skilled, dedicated folks out there who want to help me. There is, however, nothing I can pay them with, unless you decide you can contribute something."
