White House high on PHC

JULIA BARD, CHANNEL FOUR, UK – Patrick Henry College [was] set up
five years ago in Virginia, near Washington DC. Its mission is to
train young fundamentalist Christians to become the next generation of
America’s cultural and political leaders. Though the separation of
church and state is enshrined in the US Constitution, with financial
backing from the evangelical community the college aims to
‘rechristianise’ America; to ‘preserve the world from the sinfulness of man’.
PHC students are an isolated group who come from close-knit
communities where everyone prays together and shares moral
certainties. . . Once at the college, the students ceremonially sign a
covenant which commits them to a strict behaviour code: no alcohol,
drugs or obscene literature; sex will be reserved for marriage;
personal conflicts will be resolved biblically; the students will be
above reproach, will uphold the tenets of evangelical Christianity and
lead the nation for Christ. . .
Everyone at PHC, including the academics, also signs a statement of
faith which includes these assertions:

One flew east, one flew west, one flew over the cuckoo’s nest.

Ya know what makes this creepier still is that if you walk it through, one comes to the inevitable conclusion that the vast majority of our populace wouldn’t be in favor of such strident, fervent religiosity being assimilated further still into various cultural disciplines, institutional roles/practices, political life, et al ….

..So, given that this level of social engineering is taking place irrespective to what the majority want [and I think it’s the correct view of the “majority”] than one draws the disturbing conclusion that perhaps “they” – those steering this strain of the movement – know something that the rest of us do not. As MCM asked the simple question: What do they know?

Because, based on my experience, such types aren’t as impassioned over their own faith nearly as much as they are over “converting” others. (by force? a perceived inescapable social coercion?)

It’s the sickness of power, the pathology of groupthink.

Seems to me that “they’re” banking on the snake oil “they’re” selling to appear pretty damn tempting ..within a certain framework. That is, under specific conditions. Namely, very bad, unhealthy conditions. Otherwise, they knowe all too well that it’ll never fly on a mass level. (black mass?)

It’s like this gargantuan Orwellian-nightmare technological surveillance apparatus now in place: sure, there’s the profit/contract factor, can’t dismiss that. However, the PTB(powers that be) wouldn’t have gone to such elaborate lengths without conceptualizing a more routine application of it ..which is stating it rather diplomatically!

And there has been resistance, at least some, so imagine from the PTB’s POV how that percentage could be lessened within the proper context…

The puppet masters pulling the theocratic strings are the same corporate thugs getting richer from the Police State, who are the same ones behind the broader National Security State/phony “war on terror” plot.

I guess I’m a complete “tinfoil” hatter these days. Nothing would surprise me at this point. Maybe some of these people should wean themselves from PHC -on PCP! – and mellow out a touch on some high grade THC :) …just a thought.
