The BRAD BLOG has previously reported, all three Voting Machine Vendors certified to do business in the state have all refused to sign contracts with the heroic elected official (even though sales reps from both ES&S and Sequoia had initially promised to do so)…COMPLETE STORY:

Minor glitch found in Allegheny County voting machines
In Attendance:
Machine vendors currently seeking federal and state certification are expected to give formal demonstrations of their touch screen and optical scan equipment. We will discuss the pros and cons of the different machines, the costs and technology involved, and the process of certifying and choosing a machine that’s right for New York State and Dutchess County. This event is free and open to the public.
Please forward this notice to others.
Be sure to fill out on the survey card that you want to vote on paper ballots.
Beware: if this demonstration is like the others around the state, it will be a big sales pitch for touchscreens, put on by vendors who want to sell their touchscreens voting machines. Expect to be surrounded by vendors enthusiastically demonstrating the huge touchscreen machines with all their bells and whistles, and having to look to find the modest scanners.
Questions to ask the vendors about electronic voting machines:

Chair, Task Force on Election Integrity,
Physician, heal thyself
It’s great to see a Democrat engage the issue, but her party must do more than talk about it now and then. The fact is that the Dems have not “led that effort.” In any case, there’s no need for the partisan approach. The high road could work wonders here.
What are democrats doing to prevent the election fraud we have had in the past?
Jane
Palm Harbor, Fl.
During the last the two Presidential elections, we know that there were not enough voting machines in poor and minority areas. This led to appallingly long wait times of up to 10 hours in certain places. There were credible reports of voter suppression on Election Day through intimidation and misinformation. And the patchwork use of provisional ballots led to unequal treatment under the law.
The American people must have every confidence that every vote legally cast will be legally and accurately counted. But malfunctioning electronic voting machines in some areas led to an additional loss of confidence by the public.
As elected officials, we have a solemn responsibility to improve our election systems and its administration. Democrats have led that effort-through proposals to provide the Election Assistance Commission with resources to further reform the election process, and to improve the Help America Vote Act, including universal standards for provisional ballots and audit trails.
This Republican Congress, however, has been delinquent. Republicans have underfunded the requirements of the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) by $800 million from authorized levels that are needed for provisional ballots, voting machines, and registration lists. Democrats stand united to provide these resources.

U.S. to Impose Sanctions on Belarusan Leaders
By William Branigin
Washington Post Staff Writer
Friday, March 24, 2006; 12:48 PM
The White House today denounced the suppression of political protests against election fraud in Belarus and said the United States plans to join European nations in imposing sanctions on Belarusan leaders.
In a morning news briefing, White House spokesman Scott McClellan said the United States demands the immediate release of hundreds of protesters who have been arrested for demonstrating against the reportedly rigged March 19 elections, which President Alexander Lukashenko claims to have won with 83 percent of the vote.

Feeney running scared?
In the 3/14/06 issue of the Sentinel, columnist Scott Maxwell ran this article: “Is Rep. Feeney Running Hard or Running Scared?” That’s a very good question. Because Mr. Feeney certainly has reason to be scared–the man whom he asked to rig the vote is running against him for his congressional seat. This is Feeney’s worst nightmare–an honest conservative Democrat willing to speak the truth about election manipulation.

Why am I running for Congress?
My name is Clint Curtis. I am running for the U.S. House of Representatives in Florida’s 24th Congressional District. I will need your help. Please visit my Blog
I am a former Republican who became a whistleblower that came forward and testified to Congress under oath, regarding the request from a sitting congressman to build a computer program that could, without detection, flip your vote in an election. This manipulation would allow a person or political party to take control of voting machine and decide who wins the election, regardless of the true vote count. In March of 2005, I passed a polygraph test as to the accuracy of my statements.
I believe our district is currently represented by one of the most corrupt politicians in history. I have attended closed-door meetings where Congressman Tom Feeney spoke candidly about altering election results.
Feeney is deeply involved with individuals like super-lobbyist Jack Abramoff and has been an active participant in this unprecedented decade of corruption. Listening to Feeney has given me the impression that he never had a vote he wouldn’t sell or a law he wouldn’t side-step. District 24 deserves an alternative to reelecting a corrupt congressman.
I am running because our democracy insists that Americans know that their vote will actually count and that elections must not be pre-determined by manipulating electronic voting machines. Feeney believes that elections are nothing but sporting events. He believes it is acceptable to fix elections through voting machines, suppressing the vote through all types of creative methods, or in simply letting those in power declare a winner regardless of the vote outcome. He attempted to do this in the 2000 Election. Feeney’s actions show he is a big believer in a controlled concept of democracy –where elections are pre-determined.
Feeney’s actions would seem to support: “The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything. ” I humbly –and wholeheartedly –disagree”. Your vote must be counted!
I have put my name and reputation on the line for several years. I have spoken to the press, law-enforcement officials and even members of the U.S. House Judiciary Committee –under oath and on video tape. Now I am putting my name on the line as a candidate against Mr. Feeney. His deliberate corruption forces me to provide this district with an alternative. I will need your help to achieve honesty in our district.
Feeney personally designed the boundaries of this district for himself when he was Florida House Speaker. It will take all of us to break his hold over our lives and future! Your contribution to my campaign will make a difference. Don’t lose your vote as others have. Send your check today, for a better tomorrow. Mail to:
