The book never came

Has anyone had a similar experience?

Mark –

I ordered a copy of “Fooled Again” from Amazon.com around the second week of November and was expecting it to arrive before Thanksgiving Break. When it still had not arrived by the second week of December, I contacted the bookseller and gave them hell. The bookseller was very apologetic and said they had mailed it the same week I had ordered it. I assured them that it had never arrived and they gave me a refund. I didn’t think anything of it, but am letting you know just in case you get other reports.

I bought my copy from my local bookseller – I was happy to see that the little bookstore had it in stock and the owner knew exactly where to find it when I asked.

  1. I also bought it at a local bookstore and just wanted to say that so far, it’s a fantastic and important book.

I’d enthusiastically recommend it to anyone.

  2. Mark,

The post above this one is spam — someone trying to sell jewelry…

On another note, how can we get a reading of your book on tape and CD so we can get it out to the non-reading, corporate koolaid infused citizens who are out stuck in all those traffic jams? Can you bring this idea up to Pegasus, etc. and see if we can get something going? Every word of your book should be audio recorded (by you hopefully), burned to CD and shipped out across the country in large quantities.

  3. I bought the book through Buzzflash.com, and although it was a couple extra bucks, that money goes to Buzzflash which is an excellent, independent progressive news website which I am more than happy to support. If you cant find it, buy it through Buzzflash! Can’t recommend it highly enough.

  4. Similar experience w/Amazon; a bro-in-law of mine ordered three items as gifts, including “Fooled Again.” Two of the three, a DVD and another book, shipped immediately; Mark’s book took an additional three weeks even though it was listed as available/in stock. No explanation for the dawdling was offered.

Personally, I believe supporting Buzzflash – “officially” deemed a “hate” site by Big Brother – is much better than Amazon. However, honestly, had the book not been an anticipated gift, I’d have picked it up at Barnes & Noble.
