Only TWO VOTES short!

Tell the rest of them: Vote for the filibuster, or abstain!!

PLEASE Please TAKE 10 minutes to save our democracy:

We are withing TWO votes of making the filibuster!

Here’s the deal. I’ve made a batch of calls already.
It is REALLY quick and easy…
They are all taking LOTS of calls– all you have to say is:
“I URGE the SENATOR to please
SUPPORT THE FILIBUSTER or ABSTAIN from the vote!”

PASS THIS MESSAGE ON TO YOUR FRIENDS

We need to flood Senator Lieberman and Senator Dodd’s offices and speak out against the confirmation of Samuel Alito to the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday, Jan. 30th. At 4:30 on Monday there will be a vote for cloture which will be a vote to end the debate. We need to have our senators support the call by Senators Kerry and Kennedy to stand up against this confirmation.
Senator Dodd has stated that he is willing to end the debate.
Senator Lieberman has not stated his position on a filibuster.

The NY Times editorial agrees with all the civil rights organizations, women’s, labor and environmental groups, that this is the time to show courage and use the filibuster. (See below)
