Reid is a hack politician who is well aware of the full extent of the criminal corruption that infests Washington. He knows this is a one party State system of neo-facism that merely pretends at ‘democracy’. His silence and to some extent his denial along with that of his friends and collegues is based in survival instinct. No matter what he still has celebrity perks of position, money and coverage in the press. He still has standing. Were he to truly challenge the very existence of this den of corruption and filth, he would automatically remove himself from any stature in Washington. He would be Al ‘Gored’. Rendered anonymous and insignificant. Marginalized.
A leader of strong charismatic power must now emerge with nothing to lose. And he must be able to work the corrupt media for headlines. Someone like Dean but stronger and more determined. Afterall the neo-facists set-up Dean for his fall and promoted Kerry. They feared Dean. He would of wiped the floor with the bush-turd and left fecal stains all over the face of the War Party. He as well has now been deballed.
